Song Shortlist

For our song choice, we could only pick out one that worked in every field we needed it to.

That song being Omen by Disclosure, featuring Sam Smith.



We feel this song works in various ways. We are able to come up with great ideas for it, the budget for our video doesn't have to be big, based on the genre, and there will be a lot of post-production effects used in order to make the video stand out. We also feel that this song is a very practical song, as there is only one type of voice, therefore not many people are required in order to make it work.

Our video will contain ideas similar to and different from the original video for the song. The similarities would consist of focus on the performer and use of slow motion. However, these will be tweaked to make ours much more different, along with an outdoor location rather than an indoor location, casual clothing rather than incredibly stylistic clothing, wider use of camera work (out of focus bright lights), and several specific edit effects. The theme of night time will still be prominent in our video, however, ours will not be a direct copy of location to the original.
