10 | Costume, setting and prop activity

First video - Lean On by Major Lazer & DJ Snake

Costume - The use of costume in this music video is very effective as everyone is wearing traditional Indian clothes which go with the location as well as the music.

Setting/location - The location, being set in India, works well with the production and vibe of the song. There is a very traditional style that is run from the sound to the video of the song.

Prop - The use of the huge bus with decorations over it works really well in order to keep the traditional vibe of the song all throughout the video.

2nd video - I Mean It - G-Eazy

Costume - There isn't a wide variation of costume in this video, however, is still effective. In the first half of the video, G-Eazy is seen in a suit, with a very formal appearance. The other people in the studio are also wearing suits, in order to maintain the formal style within the environment. However, in the second half of the music video, Eazy is seen interviewing himself, where the interviewee is wearing informal clothing, being a leather jacket, baseball cap, etc.

Location - The majority of the music video is based in a television studio. However, the footage that is then shot in the studio, is shown across hospitals, homes, and many places showing the audience of the television studio. The base shots being in the television studio show the point of focus, but the other locations are in quick reference to the main location.

Props - The props of notice would be the camera used, teleprompter, and the decorations in order to make the locations fit as locations. For example, the sofas and TVs in order to make a room look like a living room, or the pots and pans in order to make a kitchen look like a kitchen.
